PURPOSE:To get a highly-efficient CdS/CdTe solar battery by controlling the thickness of the oxide of a group III element thereby limiting the quantity of group III element itself. CONSTITUTION:An In2O3 or Al2O3 film 6 is formed in a stripe shape with a thickness of 500-5000Angstrom on a glass substrate 1, and paste, where CdS powder and a small quantity of CdCl2 are kneaded together with propylene glycol, is printed on an oxide film. And, after drying at low temperature, it is baked in N2 gas atmosphere so as to form a CdS film 2, about 10-30mum, and thereon a CdS film is printed likewise, leaving the section for connection between cells, and after drying at low temperature, it is baked in N2 gas atmosphere so as to form a CdTe sintered film 3, about 10mum in thickness. Accordingly, a solar battery high in energy conversion efficiency can be gotten by forming a carbon electrode 4 and an (Ag+In) electrode 5 in order by printing, drying, and heat treatment. |
