PURPOSE:To provide a condenser lens for an LD excited solid-state laser and its usage capable of decreasing astigmatism due to the LD and improving the excitation density of the solid-state laser element. CONSTITUTION:At least one surface of end surfaces on the entrance side and the exit side of an optically transparent cylindrical body, whose refractive index increases parabolically and continuously from the center axis toward the outer periphery in the direction of optical path, is machined to be the shape of a cylindrical surface and is used as a condenser lens. Consequently, since an LD excited solid-state laser device using the condenser lens compensates the astigmatism of an LD, the excitation density of a solid-state laser element is increased and the output of the laser is obtained efficiently. |
