To a first rigid element such as a vehicle chassis (1) is fitted, by means of an articulated connection, a second rigid element (6) such as a support, (6, 6') for a wheel (2, 3) capable of adopting various angular positions with respect to the chassis (1) when so operated by a motor. According to the invention, on the motor power output curve there are at least two zones of maximum output where the slope of the curve reverses. To each zone corresponds an unstable relative angular position of the support (6, 6') with respect to the chassis (1), and two stable angular positions are established to each side of said zones.
