<p>PURPOSE:To provide a navigation display device which can easily and clearly give the positive guidance to anyone who is driving a car for his scheduled traveling routes. CONSTITUTION:A navigation display device is provided with a CD-ROM driver 15 which drives a CD-ROM where the traffic information is recorded together with the intersection information including the positions and the forms of road intersections, an intersection memory 16 which stores the intersection images accordant with each intersection form, an operating part 14 where various operation keys are provided for input of the driving courses, a GPS antenna 11 and a GPS receiver 12 which detect the present positions and present traveling directions of cars, and a display control part 13 which retrieves the CD-ROM driven by the driver 15 based on the detecting result of the receiver 12 and the driving course information supplied from the par 14 in order to know the distance between a car and its next turning intersection and the form of the intersection and then reads the intersection image accordant with the known intersection form out of the memory 16 to show the intersection image on a liquid crystal display panel 18 together with the symbol that shows the turning direction and the information on the distance between the car and the intersections.</p> |
