<p>The present invention relates to a method of treating chemical paper pulp, in which the pulp is first pH-adjusted to a pH of between 1 and 6 and then treated with ozone and a chelating agent with the aim of reducing the kappa number, after which the pulp is washed and immediately thereafter bleached with peroxide, with the chelating agent being added after the ozonisation without any intervening wash.</p> |
