A plug connection having a plug (11) and having an associated mating plug (12) is to be designed such that vibration loads which act have no disturbing influences, or only minor disturbing influences, on the contacts (25, 28) of the plug connection. To this end, the plug (11) has a sealing means (19), which is mounted located externally in a contact support (14), is in the form of a circumferentially closed radial seal and, in addition to a base body (37) which is in the form of a frame and produces the sealing with respect to the mating plug (12), also contains holding sections (41) which are in the form of pins, press onto the contact elements (25) of the plug (11) such that they spring back in the inward direction, and stabilize said contact elements (25) in their position. This plug connection is preferably used in motor vehicles during whose operation severe vibration loads must be expected. <IMAGE>
