The invention relates to a sack or bag, consisting of a front and a rear wall, which walls are connected to one another at the sides in each case via a side fold, a strip of the front wall being folded over together with the side folds on at least one of the two ends, which are initially open, over a first fold line running transversely to the longitudinal axis. The corresponding strip of the rear wall remains intact and the folded-over strip of the front wall as well as the remaining strip of the rear wall are folded again over the outer edge of the folded-over strip and, in this position, are fixed to the outer side of the sack or bag. In order to provide a sack or bag with a sealed bottom, a folded-in corner is formed on each side between the initially remaining strip of the rear wall and the side folds which are folded over together with the folded-over strip.
