The present invention relates to an obstetric bed with an undercarriage (10) mounted on rollers (11) and an essentially three-part horizontal platform which comprises a back part (17), a pelvis part (19) and a foot part (21), which is designed, according to the invention, such that the foot part (21) can be lowered by a lifting device (13) in a horizontal position below the plane of the other two parts of the horizontal platform and independently of these other two parts of the horizontal platform, and can be moved in the lowered position by a motor-driven or hydraulic pivoting device into a retracted position under the pelvis part (19). The obstetric bed according to the invention can thus be used, on the one hand, with a complete horizontal platform and, on the other hand, for delivery with the foot part retracted and a horizontal platform that merely comprises the back part and the pelvis part. At the same time, the entire frame of the horizontal platform can be adjusted in height, and the back part, pelvis part and foot part can each be adjusted in inclination independently of one another. <IMAGE>
