PURPOSE:To prevent the thermal deterioration of a film due to a temperature rise of a non-passing section, extend the life of the film, and improve the durability and reliability of a device. CONSTITUTION:A film 7 is slid and conveyed by a pressure rotor 10 into close contact with a heating element 1, a heated material is inserted between the pressure rotor 10 and the film 7 of a pressure contact nip section N formed by the heating element 1 and the pressure rotor 10 across the film 7, the pressure contact nip section N is conveyed together with the film 7, and the heat energy of the heating element 1 is applied to the heated material via the film 7. This heating device is provided with film position moving means 20, 21 shifting the film 7 in the thrust direction perpendicular to the conveying direction, and the film 7 is shifted in the thrust direction by the film position moving means 20, 21 so that no film portion practically exists in the non-passing area A of the pressure contact nip section N in response to the width size of the heated material passing through the device. |
