摘要 PURPOSE:To distribute light output from a light emitting element hemispherically around one point by performing current constriction for the light emitting element and by forming a circular light emission part in an approximately central part thereof, and to approximately collimate the light by narrowing a light emission radiation angle of the light which is output externally by a reflection mirror. CONSTITUTION:A lower clad layer 12, an active layer 13 and an upper clad layer 14 are formed in a light emitting element 11. A hemispherical circular separation etching groove 15 is formed in a disc shape attaining the upper clad layer 14 from the side of the lower clad layer 12 and electrically separates an approximately central part of the light emitting element 11 to a circular shape, and a circular light emitting part 18 is formed. Light output from the light emitting element 11 by the constitution is only light emitted from an upper surface and approximately circular output which is output from the circular light emitting part 18 is not obstructed. Light is distributed hemispherically around one point inside the light emission element 11. Parallel light is acquired by setting the center of light emission output distribution at a focus position of a reflection mirror.
