PURPOSE:To attain a processing without providing with a divider inside, and to attain the high speed of straight line plotting by imparting a straight line with both a start point and an end point at the time of plotting the straight line in parallel by plural plotting processors. CONSTITUTION:An inclination is obtained in the form of fraction from the coordinates of the start point and end point of a straight line, and the inclination is successively added from the start point, and the coordinate of a picture element on the straight line is obtained. At that time, the value of the numerator of the inclination is multiplied by 2, 4, and 8, and added by an adder 82, and the value of the denominator is subtracted by an adder 83, and the coordinates ahead of 2 picture element, 4 picture elements, and 8 picture elements are obtained. The straight line is imparted with the start point and the end point so that the load of a host processor can be reduced. Also, the picture element is generated in parallel by the plural plotting processors so that the high speed processing can be attained, and it is not necessary to provide with the divider inside the plotting processor so that hardware amounts can be reduced. |
