PURPOSE: To obtain an Mn-Zn single-crystal ferrite having the large initial permeability value in a high-frequency region by a method, wherein SnO2 , CoO, CaCoO3 and V2 O5 of specific quantities are added to a basic ingredient, consisting of the Mn-Zn single-crystal ferrite consisting of Fe2 O3 , MnO and ZmO of the Mn-Zn single-crystal ferrite. CONSTITUTION: This Mn-Zn single-crystal ferrite is formed by adding SnO2 of 0.2 to 2 mol%, CoO of 0.1 to 1 mol%, CaCO3 of 0.2 to 1 mol% and V2 O5 of 0.02 to 1 wt.% to a basic integredient, consisting of Fe2 O3 of 51 to 54 mol%, MnO of 27 to 33 mol% and ZnO of 16 to 20 mol%. The reproduced output is increased and rubbing noise is reduced in the magnetic head using the Mn-Zn single-crystal ferrite, and images of high image quality and high resolution can be obtained. |
