METHOD FOR ANALYSIS OF NETWORK

PURPOSE: To facilitate evaluation of the network operation at a subnetwork level. CONSTITUTION: This network analysis method is applied to traffic data which are collected for a network of such a type consisting of plural logical segments X1 to X4 including plural nodes N respectively. The analysis method processes the traffic data by eliminating with preference a traffic related to the node which is identified as the one that works as a global server and then identifies the nodes operating as the local servers N4 to N7 by means of other traffics. When the local servers are identified, the analysis method carries on its processing to suggest whether one of those local servers should be moved to another logical segment X4 or whether it is worth dividing the segment X2 between two relative local servers N6 and N7.
