<p>The device concerns a container (1) for composting organic waste in small amounts. The composting container is designed with heat-insulating walls (2), bottom (3) and lid (4). The waste is introduced at the top of the container and the biomass is removed through a hatch (6) near the bottom. Air is supplied to the biomass from the bottom of the container and the air is preheated by the supply pipe (10) being located along the inside of the container (1), thus causing it to be heated by the warm compost mass. The lid (4) is designed with a conical bottom with one or more condensate collecting edges or drip (15) located near the centre, thus causing the moisture which is condensed to drip back into the compost mass. The water in the waste will thereby be recirculated and prevent the mass from drying out and thus bringing the composting process to a stop. In the centre of the lid there is located a discharge opening for gas which escapes and a filter (16) is located here for air purification.</p> |
