The device for checking the service life of electronic or electrical domestic appliances contains a drive unit (4), which outputs drive signals of the electronic or electrical appliances, a memory (5) for the accumulative storage of the current operating time by means of a microprocessor (3), a signal input unit (1) for inputting control signals and confirmation signals, which check the service life of the electronic or electrical appliances, a display (2) for showing the accumulated operating time when corresponding confirmation signals for checking the service life are output by the signal input unit (1), a microprocessor (3) for processing and accumulating the current operating time by inputting the drive signals of the drive unit (4), and for storing these values in the memory (5) and for showing these values in accordance with the signals of the signal input unit (1). <IMAGE>
