PURPOSE:To display a map near a locating position with a required operation by providing a display part at a portable telephone. CONSTITUTION:Map information is requested by operating a 'map' button or the like at a portable telephone equipment. This signal is inputted from an input part 15 to generate a required map request signal by a control part 18, inputted through a telephone set part 11 to a modulation/transmission part 12, modulated into a required high-frequency signal and transmitted from an antenna 13. This signal is received by an antenna 19 of a base station equipment and demodulated by a reception/demodulation part 20, and the map request signal is discriminated by a discrimination part 23. Based on this discrimination, the map information is read from a map information storage part 24 to generate a required image signal by an image data generation part 25 and transmitted from the antenna 19 to the portable telephone after required signal processing is performed at a modulation/transmission part 21. This signal is inputted through the antenna 13 to a reception/demodulation part 14, demodulated, recorded in a memory part 16, read out, inputted to a display part 17 to generate a required display signal and displayed. |
