<p>The invention relates to a method and a device for connecting superimposed reinforcing rods (W), wherein a bent length of connecting wire (K) is placed from one side down over the superimposed rods and the rods are then tightened together by causing the free ends of the bent wire length to be deformed from the opposite side. The connecting wire length is placed in the form of a preshaped staple of a strong and stiff metal. The staple legs are guided in guiding grooves (4) on the inner side of the legs and the cross piece of a substantially U-shaped form piece (1), that is placed from the opposite side over the superimposed rods and is divided along a midplane perpendicular to the plane of the U, in such a way, that the ends of the staple legs are guided - within the cross piece of the form piece - towards or past each other around the rod that is turned away from the cross piece of the staple.</p> |
