A lotion comprising a tricyclic compound represented by 17-allyl-1,14-dihydroxy-12-¢2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxycyclohexyl)-1-methylvinyl!-23,25-dimethoxy-13,19,21,27-tetramet hyl-11,28-dioxa-4-azatricyclo¢22.3.1.04.9!octacos-!8-ene-2,3,10,16-tetrone or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a dissolution/absorption promoter, a liquid medium, and optionally an emulsifying agent or a mixture thereof with a thickening agent. The lotion is stable and excellent in absorbability, scarcely irritates the skin, and can be sustainedly released. It is useful for treating and preventing inflammatory and proliferative dermatoses and immunologically mediated skin diseases.
