Drape for surgical microscope

A drape for a surgical microscope made of a soft plastic material comprises a means for connecting the drape to an adapter of the surgical microscope in which the principal lens is arranged. For this purpose, the connecting means possesses an insert which can be connected to the soft plastic material on a viewing orifice of the drape. Furthermore, a flat, optically transparent protecting element is arranged in the insert such that the geometric normal on the flat, optically transparent protecting element and the optical axis of the principal lens include an acute angle between one another.
