IDENTIFICATION OF THE ADHESIN GENE FROM M. PIRUM

A nucleic acid corresponding to the M. pirum adhesin gene and characterized by the nucleotic sequence illustrated in figure 1, or any sequence derived from the latter obtained by degenerescence of the genetic code. The adhesin or fragment derived from the latter is useful as an immunogen in the prevention or treatment of M. pirum and/or HIV-induced infections.
