<p>A foldable tent achieving the desired stretch of the cloth tent body when fully pitched. The foldable tent includes a cylindrical center member (11) comprising a top cylinder (11a) and a bottom cylinder (11b) detachably coupled to each other. A cylindrical slider (12) having a notch (12a) on its inner surface is movably fitted over the center member (11). An elastic locking member (17) is mounted in the top cylinder (11a) of the center member (11) for locking the slider (12). The locking member (17) has a locking projection (17a) snapping into the notch (12a) of the slider (12). A release mechanism for releasing the locking projection (17a) from the notch (12a) of the slider (12) is received in the bottom cylinder (11b). The tent framework further includes a plurality of ribs (13). Each rib (13) is hinged to a corresponding pipe frame (15) and the slider (12) at its opposed ends such that an angle formed between it and the top cylinder (11a) when pitching the tent is less than 90°. This foldable tent is easily pitched and struck regardless of tent size. The pipe frames (15) can be easily repaired when they are troubled in accordance with long time use.</p> |
