<p>An apparatus for welding together two metal sheets (4, 5) along a joint includes a table (2, 3) for each of the sheets (4, 5), and retainers (6, 7) for fixedly pressing the sheets (4, 5) on each respective table (2, 3). The tables (2, 3) have a relative advancement movement (12) during the welding. For heating the sheets (4, 5), an induction coil (8) is disposed over the joint. The one table (2) is displaceable and connected to an advancement device and executes the advancement movement (12) therewith. The second table (3) is stationary but connected to an adjustment arrangement (17-19; 20-22) which is disposed to realise adjustment of this table (3) on the one hand parallel with the direction of advancement (12) and, on the other hand, transversely directed in relation to the plane of extent of this table (3). The induction coil (8) is movable towards and away from the joint, transversely of the direction of advancement (12).</p> |
