PURPOSE:To provide a solid electrolyte fuel cell, in which single cells made up on hollow substrates are connected in series to obtain a preset output voltage, by restraining the occurrence of temperature distribution between the individual substrates. CONSTITUTION:Oxidant gas guide chambers 21, 24 and oxidant gas exhaust chambers 22, 23 are arranged on both sides of stacks, respectively. In these stacks, there are two flow directions of oxidant gas which is passed though a through-hole and led from the oxidant gas guide chambers to the oxidant gas exhaust chambers. In this way, as single cells are arranged so that all gas flows through substrates in mutual opposition instread of from one direction to the other direction, temperature distribution is dissolved, temperature distribution in each cell is moderated and generating reaction is taken at a uniform temperature. A solid electrolyte fuel cell shows stable performance for a long time. |
