PURPOSE: To provide an improved method for performing access to a large picture data arrangement for a method and device for storing picture data value. CONSTITUTION: In a picture data value storing device provided with a plurality of tiled memories to which a set of readout addresses is supplied from a readout address generator, the picture data values 6 stored in the tiled memory units are displaced to each other by the action of a delaying device when data are written in the tiled memory unit. Therefore, the set of readout addresses can perform access to the arrangement 10 of continuous picture data values larger than those when addressing is made individually in each tiled memory unit.
