PURPOSE:To improve C/N and to uniformalize the intensity distribution of the light beams condensed onto a disk by providing the optical head of the optical information processor with a beam splitter with which the reflectivity, transmittance or the phase difference generated does not depend on the incident angle of the light beams. CONSTITUTION:This optical information processor is constituted to read the information of the disk by arranging the beam splitters 2, 5 for separating the beams into the divergent or convergent optical path of an LD1 for irradiating the disk 1 with the light beams in this device, allowing the reflected light from the disk 1 to transmit the beam splitters 2, 5 or to be reflected by these splitters and receiving the beams in photodetectors 6, 7. The beam splitters 2, 5 are respectively provided with polarizing films 11, 12 so as to decrease the variations in the reflectivity, transmittance or phase difference generated at the time of separating the beams for the incident light of all the incident angles on the beam splitters 2, 5. |
