PURPOSE:To execute high speed texture mapping in an inexpensive constituting by providing with a coordinate transforming means, storage means, and a frame memory which is equipped with a plotting data area and an off-screen area. CONSTITUTION:At the time of operating the plotting of a graphic such as a polygon by performing the texture mapping with a pattern in the off-screen area of the frame memory which is equipped with the plotting data area and the off-screen area as a texture pattern, a coordinate transforming means 19 obtains by transforming the address of the source data of the texture pattern corresponding to entire picture elements constituting the graphic to be plotted next from the coordinate in the plotting space of the plotting picture elements into the coordinate in the texture pattern source space. Then, at the time of graphic plotting (at the time of writing in the plotting data area of the frame memory), since the texture patterns to be used are in a storage means 21, a prescribed arithmetic operation is performed by using the pattern, and the writing in the plotting data area is performed. |
