PURPOSE:To make possible to satisfactorily discharge even long original copies onto an original copy tray, by providing a selecting means for selecting a first or second paper discharge mode in accordance with the length of original copies. CONSTITUTION:An original copy discharge sensor 32 is arranged in front of a final paper discharge roller 23 provided just before an original copy tray 28. A first paper discharge mode in which an original copy 15 is discharged including such an operation that the final paper discharge roller 23 is once stopped while it nips the trailing end of the original copy 15 having passed through the sensor 32, and a second paper discharge mode in which the original copies 15 having passed through the sensor 32 are successively discharged, are set. Further, there is provided a selecting means for selecting the first or second mode is accordance with the length of an original copy 15. Thus, in the case of a short original copies, the first paper discharge mode is set to discharge then onto the original copy tray 28 in a good stacked condition, but in the case of long original copies, the second paper discharge mode is set to successively discharge them in a low dynamic friction condition, thereby it is possible to obtain a satisfactory stacked condition. |
