摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent drop of the negative electrode capacity by retaining a low viscosity solvent in voids in a neg. electrode plate material, then dissolving a high viscosity high-polymer glue in this solvent, and thereby preventing blocking of metal cadmium. CONSTITUTION:Chemical formation of a sintered Cd electrode plate is carried out to remove impurities in the electrode plate. This Cd electrode plate is flushed and dried. Then the Cd electrode plate is immersed in water so that the Cd electrode plate contain water, and it is coated with 1wt.% methyl cellurose aqueous solution. The Cd electrode plate is dried and cut into sizes of 200mmX33.5mm. Thereby a neg. electrode plate with an electrode plate capacity of 3000mAh is obtained. Battery is fabricated this neg. electrode plate, two sintered Ni pos. electrode plates of the same dimensions, and kalium hydroxide aqueous solution with a specific gravity of 1.23. This prevents the metal cadmium from blocking, and drop of the neg. electrode capacity can be prevented.
