FIELD: food industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with the technology for preparing fresh onion bulbs for storage for its subsequent application in cosmic nutrition. The inspected onions at the preset mode parameters should be washed in drinking water to be then kept in the suspension of preparation obtained out of Mortierella gamsii micromycete biomass according to the preset technique. Then it is necessary to dry the bulbs, remove scale leaves, cut the neck, scrape the corm and treat with ethanol solution followed by ultraviolet irradiation. One should pack onion bulb by bulb under antiseptic conditions into cigarette paper to arrange in sterile polymeric trays.
