The invention relates to an arrangement for presenting stereomicroscopic images and their storage. It comprises the generation of stereomicroscopic images by means of a one-channel microscope system, in particular by means of a single-objective light microscope in accordance with Patent Application P 4311603, and their recording, storage and representation using video-technology means. The aim of the invention is to permit both the direct stereomicroscopic viewing at high degrees of magnification using light microscopy, and the storage and presentation of stereomicroscopic images and motion sequences. This object is achieved by means of an arrangement in which an object translator is arranged in the object-side beam path in the object plane and a video camera is arranged in the image-side beam path and the two are coupled in a phase-locked manner by means of an electronic controller. According to the invention, stereomicroscopic pairs of three-dimensional images are generated and recorded simultaneously with a repetition frequency (repetition rate) which is derived by the video standard which is used, as a result of this arrangement.
