The ski described is characterised by the use of a selected fibre-reinforced material which comprises a sheet-like textile material and a thermosetting resin, the fibre fraction being 30 - 70 % by weight, and the fibres comprising synthetic fibres for at least 30 % by weight. This material is distinguished by a good flexibility and high recovering forces and lends the ski excellent running characteristics, for example good vibration damping.
