PURPOSE:To greatly reduce the number of processes, in printing patterns on the outer peripheral surface of the pole material for sporting goods, especially, a ski stock or the like, by winding sublimable paper having patterns applied thereto around the outer peripheral surface of the pole material and subsequently thermally transferring the patterns of the sublimable paper to the outer peripheral surface of the pole material. CONSTITUTION:When patterns are printed on the outer peripheral surface 1f of a pole material 1o composed of an aluminum material, at first, urethane base foundation coating is applied to the outer peripheral surface 1f of the pole material 1o or a rough film is formed on the outer peripheral surface 1f by surface treatment using a chemical soln. Elongated sublimable paper 2 having desired patterns F applied thereto using a dye is prepared and spirally wound around the outer peripheral surface 1f of the pole material 1o and heated to be thermally transferred thereto under a specific pressure. At that time, the pole material 1o is preheated to 40-80 deg.C, desirably, to an extent of 40-60 deg.C and certainly transfer the patterns. Thereafter, the sublimable paper 2 is peeled from the pole material 1o to transfer only the patterns F to the outer peripheral surface 1f of the pole material. |
