PURPOSE:To provide a pretensioner capable of sufficiently securing take-up volume of webbing with a simple and compact structure. CONSTITUTION:An eccentric rotary member 36 is arranged on the circumference of the connecting cylinder 24 connected to a take-up shaft. The engaging part 38 of the eccentric rotary member 36 is positioned eccentrically to the connecting cylinder 24 and is usually separated from the connecting cylinder 24 forming a non-contact part 44, and when the eccentric rotary member 36 rotates, an internal wall surface 42 meshes the connecting cylinder 24. In the rapid reduction in vehicle speed, a large amount of gas is supplied to the air chamber 28, and the blade part 40 of the eccentric rotary member 36 is pressed by this gas pressure, and the engaging part 38 meshes the connecting cylinder 24 while rolling, forcibly rotating the connecting cylinder 24, i.e., the tale-up shaft. Thus, this pretensioner eliminates long and large cylinders or the like and has a compact structure and can secure sufficient take-up volume. |
