PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized printing device at a low cost which can print at a high speed by arranging printing mechanisms on two semi-peripheral areas of a photosensitive drum so as to print simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:An image forming body 9, conveying passages 5A and 5B, and a pair of printing mechanisms 8A and 8B are provided. The conveying passages 5A, 5B are juxtaposed with tangent lines by interposing the image forming body 9 by which printing papers 3 are conveyed in the rotating direction of the image forming body 9. The printing mechanisms 8A, 8B are arranged symmetrically with respect to a center axis in two areas made by dividing the outer periphery of the image forming body 9, for forming and developing electrostatic images on the image forming faces, and for transferring them on the printing papers 3 to be conveyed by the conveying passage 5A and 5B. Further, there are provided a printing data file 20 having at least one printing data stored therein; a reading means 21 for reading either printing data for each of two consecutive odd and even pages from the life 20 to print on the papers 3 fed through the conveying passages 5A, 5B or one page each from different printing data; and a synchronous circuit 24 for synchronizing the printing operations of both printing data. |
