A method and a system for connecting with the Internet using a keyword based on a DNS(Domain Name Server) are provided to connect with the Internet using a keyword even when a web browser prevents a character string inputted to an address window from being arbitrarily captured. An Internet user inputs a character string into a web browser(210). The web browser inquires the inputted character string of a DNS(230). The DNS determines whether there is an IP(Internet Protocol) address corresponding to the character string(240), transmits the IP address to the web browser when the IP address corresponding to the character string exists(250) and transmits a signal representing that there is no IP address corresponding to the character string to the web browser when the IP address does not exist. The web browser connects with a corresponding web site when receiving the IP address from the DNS, adds an identifier to the character string(270) and inquires the character string having the identifier of the DNS(280) when receiving the signal from the DNS. The DNS analyzes the identifier(290) and transmits the IP address of a keyword connection server(300). The web browser transmits the character string to the IP address of the keyword connection server(310), receives the IP address or a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) corresponding to the character string from the keyword connection server(330) and connects with the corresponding web site. |
