PURPOSE: To elevate comfortable feeling to be given to a patient by equipping the system with a temperature regulating means including a cooling means and allowing to maintain the temperature of a support surface which supports the patient on a support surface formed by grainy materials flowing under pressurized air. CONSTITUTION: Grainy materials 14 consisting of so-called bead, a micro-globular body of glass, are housed on an enlarged board 24 forming an air distribution plenum 26 placed along the bottom wall 20 of the tank 18 within the tank 18 covered with a filtering sheet 12, the upper surface of which becomes the support surface of a patient. In the air dispersion plenum 26, a blower 28 installed within a frame 16 supporting the tank 18, increases pressure and feeds a high-pressure air after regulating the temperature by a temperature regulator. The temperature regulator is structured from a heating means consisting of an electric resistance heater 30 and a cooling means consisting of an air/air heat exchanger 32, an air/water heat exchanger and a fan 36. The air/air heat exchanger 32 is installed on the side of the upper stream of the air/water heat exchanger within the pressurized air circulation route. |
