PURPOSE: To obtain a satisfactory bobbin structure in a traverse device having two rotors each of which incorporates at least two fliers and which are rotated in opposite directions, by shifting the upstream one of the two rotors rearward from the downstream of them by a predetermined distance. CONSTITUTION: A thread winding device incorporates a traverse device 3 in which a thread winding spindle 1 and a guide roll 2 are supported to a frame and which comprised a rotor 8 composed of two fliers 11, 12 arranged in a propeller-like shape, the rotor 8 being carried by a holding panel 4 through the intermediary of an eccentric bushing 7. The eccentric bushing 7 is journalled therein with the shaft 13 of a rotor 14, and two propeller-like fliers 15, 16 are fixed to one end of the shaft 13 at positions which are deviated by 90 deg. in phase from the fliers 11, 12. The axis of the rotor 14 extends, orthogonal to the axis of a guide roll 2, and is shifted rearward from the axis of the other rotor 8 by a=d.cotα(where d is a distance between the rotors 8, 14).
