PURPOSE:To provide the photocatalyst body capable of effectively utilizing light energy and capable of miniaturization. CONSTITUTION:The honeycomb structure having at least >=1 opening site which varies in the cross-sectional area of the opening which is vertical to a flow in a fluid flow passage 2 as a base body 1, and the photocatalyst is deposited on the base body 1. In this way, the photocatalyst body which is large in light receiving area and also low in pressure loss is obtained. Moreover, because the wall of each cell in the honeycomb structure is different from a general honeycomb structure and is not parallel to an irradiating light and arranged in the direction at some angular degrees, the energy of the exciting light of the photocatalyst becomes large and light energy is used effectively and also the photocatalyst quantity to be excited is increased, thus, the miniaturization of the photocatalyst body is attained. |
