PURPOSE:To provide a method for processing a cellulosic fiber sewed product, capable of giving a water-absorbing and diffusing property to the cellulosic fiber sewed product. CONSTITUTION:This method for the water-absorbing and diffusing processing of a cellulosic fiber sewed product comprises sealing the outside of the cellulosic fiber sewed product with a sealing material, uniformly adjusting the water content of the sewed product, exposing the sewed product to gaseous formaldehyde, and subsequently thermally treating the formaldehyde-exposed sewed product to mutually crosslink the cellulose molecules and the formaldehyhde. |
