MICROCAPSULE AND HEAT SENSITIVE RECORDING BODY USING THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE:To stably produce microcapsules having a specified average particle diameter and satisfactory particle diameter distribution and to provide a heat sensitive recording body applying the microcapsules and excellent in color developing property, surface stability and preservability, especially light and water resistance. CONSTITUTION:The microcapsules are produced using polyvinyl alcohol modified with acetoacetyl groups and having 92-98mol% degree of saponification as an emulsifier and have 0.1-3mum average particle diameter. The wall films of the microcapsules are made of polyurea or polyurethane/polyurea. The objective heat sensitive recording body has a heat sensitive recording layer and a protective layer successively formed on the substrate and the microcapsules are used in the protective layer.
