PURPOSE:To prevent the applying of the force to an inner panel due to the deformation of a peripheral edge of an opening part at the time of unfolding an air bag by forming a part of an air bag cover, to which the peripheral edge of an opening part formed in an inner panel abuts, into a box shape having elasticity. CONSTITUTION:A cover 12 of an air bag arranged in a front passenger seat is fitted in an opening 13 formed in an inner panel 4, and the lower surface 12b of the cover 12 is formed with rectangular ribs 16, 18 or the like. Furthermore, plural ribs 20 are provided between one end of a rib 15 and the rib 18, and one end of the cover 12 is formed with a fitting part 22. The fitting par 22 is fitted in the peripheral part 13a of the opening 13, and the other end of the cover 12 is fitted in the peripheral part 13b of the opening 13. A part of the cover 12, which abuts on the peripheral edge 13a of the opening 13, namely, one end of the rib 15 and the ribs 18, 20 are formed into a box shape having elasticity. At the time of unfolding an air bag, this box-like part A is crashed to prevent the deformation of the inner panel 4 side. |
