PURPOSE:To obtain a new photosensitive polyfunctional azide compound, having a high sensitivity and good in adhesion to substrates and compatibility with other high molecular compounds according to a simple synthetic method. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive polyfunctional azide compound has two or more bound atomic groups expressed by formula I [R<1>, R<3> and R<4> are H, halogen, alkyl or alkyloxy; R<2> is H, alkyl, aralkyl or aryl or, together with phi2, forms alkylene; X1 is atom or atomic group convertible into cation in aqueous solution; Y is O or =NR5 (R5 is H, alkyl, etc.); G is halogen, OH, alkyloxy, aralkyloxy, 2-tetrahydrofuranyloxy, etc.; Z1 and Z2 are OCH3, OCH, Ophi3 or N (phi1 to phi3 are phenyl, naphthyl, etc.); (n) is 0-2] in one molecule. The compound expressed by formula I is obtained by reacting, e.g. a polyepoxy compound having two or more groups expressed by formula II with an aromatic ketone compound expressed by formula III and then condensing the resultant compound with an aldehyde expressed by formula IV. |
