PRODUCTION OF OPTICAL GLASS ELEMENT

PURPOSE:To provide a method for producing an optical element with a high yield by solving problems such as deterioration in a mold and surface defects of glass in a direct glass molding method without requiring the reheating of the glass. CONSTITUTION:This method for producing an optical glass element is composed of at least a step for receiving glass in a molten state, melted and dropped from an orifice and a step for press forming the glass in a softened state at a high temperature into a specific shape. This method includes a step for moving the glass floating on a conveying passage by a pushing out means along the conveying passage while floating the glass and horizontally rotating the glass by gushing a gas from the surface of the conveying passage of a porous member having the glass conveying passage capable of moving the glass in the longitudinal direction between the two steps.
