The invention relates to a process for the extraction of artemisinin from at least one plant containing this compound, characterized in that it comprises the stages consisting in: a) bringing the said plant into contact with a pressurized extraction fluid; b) separating the said extraction fluid, containing at least a part of the artemisinin, from the said plant; c) separating the extract containing the artemisinin from the said extraction fluid by modifying the temperature and/or pressure conditions of the said fluid, so as to lower its solvating power and to evaporate it; d) recovering the extract containing the artemisinin. The process according to the invention makes it possible to obtain purer artemisinin than that obtained using the conventional solvent extraction processes and in a shorter time. |
