On the frame 1 of the manual end milling machine are longitudinal guides 7 on which is mounted a carriage 9 carrying the cutting head 5, said carriage 9 being displaceable by means of a spindle 10 actuated by a motor 11, all the aforesaid in such a manner that, when a sensor 13 located at the entry of the manual end milling machine detects the connection groove 14 between two consecutive workpieces 2, it gives rise to a longitudinal displacement of the carriage 9 which is perfectly synchronized with the longitudinal displacement of the workpieces 2, which is maintained until the cutting operation is completed by means of the upward/downward rocking of the cutting head 5 actuated by a pneumatic cylinder 12. In this way, during the cutting stage, and without any halt in the advance of the workpieces 2, there is no relative displacement between such workpieces and the cutting head, with the result that said cutting takes place under optimum conditions and with a perfect finish. <IMAGE>
