A description is given of a load-bearing column (1) for a load-bearing arrangement, preferably comprising triangular girders (2), having a connecting piece (10) which is borne by the load-bearing column (1) and is intended for connecting at least two girders, the connecting piece exhibiting at least one upper girder tube (3, 3') and at least two lower girder tubes (4, 4') spaced apart essentially in a horizontal plane. According to the invention, provision is made, at the upper tip of the load-bearing column (1), for a rest (6) for centrally receiving at least one upper girder tube (3, 3'), and for at least one bracing device (7) which acts between the lower girder tubes (4; 4') and that section of the load-bearing column (1) guided therebetween and is intended for arresting the connecting piece (10) with respect to the load-bearing column (1). <IMAGE>
