The tungsten-halogen lamp holder (3) of the lighting fixture is retained by a mount consisting of two U-profiled parts (6, 7) at a distance behind the reflector shell (1) that can be chosen by displacing the second U-profiled part (7). The reflector shell (1) has an opening (2) through which the tungsten-halogen lamp (4) projects into the reflector chamber (20). The cross-section of the opening (2) is a multiple of the cross-section of the tungsten-halogen lamp, so that a wide annular gap (21) for through-ventilation is free between the tungsten-halogen lamp (4) and the opening rim (9) of the reflector shell (1). In order to form a through-ventilation chamber (22), the mount (6, 7) is completely open to the rear and, moreover, on two opposite sides. The tungsten-halogen lamp holder (3) is freely retained by the mount (6, 7) in the through-ventilation chamber (22) adjoining the annular gap (21), so that the holder (3) is enveloped by the air current flowing through the annular gap (21), and the cap (base) of the tungsten-halogen lamp is cooled.
