A sash/leaf (2) is pivotably mounted on a fixed frame (1) or on a second sash/leaf arranged beside it with the aid of at least two bearings (4 and 5) which at least permit pivoting. Each of these bearings comprises two bearing halves or bearing elements, and, in the case of a fixed frame (1), one bearing element is mounted on the fixed frame (1) and the other bearing element is mounted on the sash/leaf (2). Preferably, the bearing element (6) according to the invention is mounted on the fixed frame (1) or, if appropriate, on a second sash/leaf. It essentially comprises a basic body (7) with two bearing sleeves (11 and 12) and two bearing lugs (13 and 14) which are connected to the basic body (7) via connecting lugs (15 and 16). Located between the basic body (7) and the bearing lugs (13, 14) is a rail-like clamping body (8) which can be moved, by means of two screw members (9, 10), towards the basic body (7) or away from the same.
