Disintegration of substances with a content of less than 80 % by weight of particles of size under 20.10<-6>m, intended particularly for pharmaceutical and other purposes, causing the occurrence of substances with content of at least 80 % by weight of a size under 20.10<-6>m in performed by the action of ultrasound in the heterogeneous phase, preferably in the environment of a liquid vehicle, where the disintegrated substance is partially dissolvable and, after reaching the required level of disintegration, the substance is separated off.
