The method is performed by means of a protective electrode (6), which is inserted between the source of earth radiation and protected living substance and is alternately by current of positive or negative voltage. The time interval of the change in polarisation of the protective electrode and selection of voltage is determined in relation to the material of the thickness and number of layers of the protective electrode and the intensity of shielded earth radiation. Under the space to be protected from the effects of earth radiation there is an insulated flat protective electrode (6) formed from the insulated layers (1, 4) of electrically conductive material, which are conductively connected with the source (7) of the alternating course of current. The effectiveness of the shielding is increased by connection of at least one extra layer (4) of the protective electrode to the earth connection (speckled in the picture). In some cases, for the purposes of simplification, at least one layer (4) of the protective electrode (6) can be replaced by the earth connection.<IMAGE>
